This is a Petticoat tutorial, based on a GosuRori pattern.

Because I'm sure a lot of you don't know Japanese. :3

Here is my skirt pattern, with the gathering instructions: [link]

Rock.

Do it.

Make skirts poofy.

If you use and post picture, please link back to me/notify me. <3

great tutorial, but under neath the skirt, how poofy does it make it?
:iconrhodygunn:
Gives it light fluff. If you look on part two of my skirt tutorial, I am wearing three petticoats under the skirt, pictured at the end. Which gives it a very nice bell shape. Very poofy.

so..... wow, 3 peticoats...... im gonna have a ball this weekend =P im going shopping for fabric tomorrow, *triples netting material* lol

oh, if you dont mind, if i were to make a gothic lolita dress, the skirt itself is like the one in your tut, but black instead of purple, would i make a black peticoat (if they have black tulle/net) or white?
:iconrhodygunn:
I would suggest, that if your entire outfit were to be black, that you use black material. However, if you are making a black dress with white accents, or a black and white outfit, if you like the look of the contrast, by all means go for white. You could always layer a black petticoat and a white one. (perhaps buy enough fabric for one black petticoat and three white ones?) I am not sure what colours you prefer in your dresses, I make mainly white petticoats because I never wear black. :3 But if you always wear black, buy fabric for three black petticoats and some white, maybe. It's always nice to have variety!

Great tut!!
I can't wait to make the skirt and petticoat! (found it on TB)
Maybe instead of wearing 3 petticoats you could add more layers of netting instead of 1. I've never tried it but it might work :) Just a suggestion :P
:iconrhodygunn:
Well, There are different ways to add netting, I prefer my way, I know I could add more layers but I like the shape that three layered two layers gives.

Don't think I haven't experimented xD

Thanks though :3
